June 30th 2019: where it all started. 4 countries, 6 people, 15 days and uncountable memories. 8 hours long flight and Istanbul was waiting to be explored. The beautiful culture, the extravagant traditions and larger than life Bazaars. One can say, it’s a world of its own. Next stop being Toulouse, France and the one-week long exchange program awaiting us, we were all packed up and ready to explore and represent not just our college but also ourselves. 5 different countries and 50 different stories to tell. From not understanding a word to accepting each other for the differences, Toulouse was packed with friendship, memories, laughter, and a lot of bread.
As said, “When in Europe, do as the Europeans do”, the bread and sugar filled one week in Toulouse would have been incomplete without the family away form our family. Travelling to places, getting tanned in beaches so that when you return back home no one recognizes you, the beautiful gift exchange, even beautiful exchange of liquors – French wine to Khukuri Rum and Khukhuri Rum to French wine, and the beautiful moment when each of us cooked something for each of our families. The time spent in Toulouse went by a snap fading away not half buy all the tiredness from the flight and the anxiety to be in a new place.
Leaving Toulouse and getting to the city of dreams “Paris”. Ever wondered how Paris looks from the top of the Eiffel tower? – Like a birthday cake ready to be eaten. Beautiful and sparkling like gold, the Eiffel tower took almost 2 hours of standing in a line that looked like a maze – never ending and spinning like nothing else, filled with screaming children. Every second worth the wait when reaching the top of the Eiffel tower and every children screaming headache worth the shimmering beauty of the night view of the Eiffel tower. Not to mention being late for the bus to Disney land and travelling for an hour in train to get their and loosing each other the moment we entered the gates. The best part — waiting in line for 2 hours for a ride that ended in 2 seconds. #shortest_rollercoaster_ride_in_the_history_of_rollercoaser_rides.
The end of the trip in Paris, and Belgium was looking as delicious as the waffles soaked in chocolate sauce. The peaceful roads, beautiful houses, and glorious waffles and chocolates. Life and food at it’s finest.
Sniff sniff and you smell weed every where. Amsterdam had the beauty indescribable in a sheet of paper. People form all around the world showing their talent. Some dancing, some jumping off people, some swallowing swords and doing a backflip, and some scaring off children. The busier the center, the peaceful the country sides. Windmills, parks, and creepy Russian dolls everywhere.
Filled with screaming children, creepy dolls, loosing people at the airport, finding beers cheaper than water, boiling eggs on a kettle cause buying food in Europe will feed 100 people in Nepal, loosing people in shopping malls, and everyone craving for some real food, the trip was filled with one of a kind stories with one of a kind people.
P.S.: Who have apparently lost all the contacts after the trip. Nodding and smiling at the college corridors. But the memories, unreal and amazing.
