Upashna Acharya

Assistant Professor; Deputy Coordinator – CERAD

Upasna, a Postgraduate in International Cooperation and Development, is the Deputy Coordinator of Center for Research and Development at King’s College. She is the alumni of Cooperation and Development Network (CDN), in Pavia University- Italy and a graduate of Environmental Science from Kathmandu University. She has over five years’ experience in the sector of academic and applied research. Prior to King’s, Upasna worked in the development sector at various capacities for national and international projects. She has worked with grants for CISP (International Committee for the Development of Peoples-Rome, Italy), FWEAN, Social Enterprise Activation Center, Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), Work Together Foundation and University of Waterloo, Toronto and York -Canada.
With her passion in exploration and travelling, she is an active organizer of student exchange program. She is associated with Labitrie School, Tournefeuillie and has been organizing intercultural exchange between King’s College and Labitrie School, France. She led the delegation of King’s College, in the International Conference of Youth Climate Pact (II) and International Solidarity Festival, “Universal Village”, held in Toulouse, France in 2016 and 2018 respectively.
