Kiran Mainali

Agricultural Engineer

Our featured alumnus for the month, Kiran Mainali, is a certified agricultural engineer and a big time Sadhguru fanatic who has visiting Isha Foundation in his bucket list. Living his life by the ‘One percentage rule’, he tries to better himself by at least one percent every day from what he was yesterday and that has turned him into a firm believer of the notion – ‘Upgradation is the only constant’ in life. Also, hihard work and beliefs iequal parts has helped him become a gold medal recipient from a reputed Indian Government University. Usually, the career choices we make urge us to take different roads to reach the destination – for which Kiran was all prepared to leave for the United States with a motive to continue with his engineering career. But sometimes, life has other plans for us. Hence, he decided to stay back and thought of adding another feather in his cap with an additional degree in management stream. For the purpose, he joined King’s College to purse his MBA in Agribusiness where he also aided with the design of the course itself. 

 
Today, he has been contributing to the college as a Program Development Associate and an Education Assistant. Aspiring to work in the Agriculture Information System to make the information dissemination effective, he has represented King’s College at multitude of idea pitching competitions, moderated panel discussions and documented blogs for larger information dissemination as that would directly work as a genie to make his wish lists come trueMaking over achievement look cool, he also got awarded with prestigious Erasmus Mundus scholarship to pursue the master’s degree in MSC. Now, he is willing to work to bring a difference in development and promotion of food products making it his lifelong goal without abandoning his eternal love for rural community and 90s music.
