Incubation Program

Program Summary

Othāro is a 6-month long incubation program for aspiring young entrepreneurs organized and facilitated by King’s College Nepal in collaboration with Rastriya Banijya Bank Limited. The program welcomes aspiring entrepreneurs to transform their innovative solutions and launch them into profitable and scalable business ventures by providing the right skill, mindset, tools and network. High-performing teams have a chance to access collateral free loans of up-to Rs.10,00,000 through Rastriya Banijya Bank.

Our approach combines continuous immersive learning workshops and coaching, business model iterations, gap-based mentoring and sector specific access to finance, network and investors. By the end of the incubation, businesses will have a business model and business plan to support the business to scale and accelerate in the future.

What we offer

Immersive Learning Workshop

Every month, an in-person learning workshop is curated to facilitate the curriculum with the aim to engage entrepreneurs with relevant ecosystem players and provide them with the right tool and mindset.

Pathways Mentorship

We embrace a gap-based mentorship for the startups and entrepreneurs to address their diverse needs and requirements.

One-to-One Coaching

Bi-weekly coaching support. Each team is provided with a dedicated coach to navigate the team’s challenges, needs and follow the team’s progress and journey in the program to provide the needed support and connection.

Product Testing and Adaptation

We intend to build an adaptive mindset amongst the startups by enabling them to test their products with the users, learn and adapt their products and services throughout the program and provide them with the confidence to launch their business.

Access to Finance

In collaboration with Rastriya Banijaya Bank Limited, the potential high-performing teams will be eligible to receive a subsidized loan of up to 15 Lakh Nepali Rupees by the end of the program, evaluated by RBBL.

Demo Day

The 6 months incubation journey is concluded with a demo day where all participating teams pitch their idea and the potential of their ventures. Along with the incubatees, various stakeholders from the industry, investors, media and civil society will be invited to the Demo Day.

Outcome and Impact

The product/service will turn into a sustainable scalable business venture. The startup will have an enhanced understanding of the market where the customers are now and access to the market. The investor’s network is also available for potential teams and access to a subsidized collateral-free loan of up to Rs. 15 Lakhs from Rastriya Banijya Bank Limited. In the end, Othāro will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of your startup’s entrepreneurial journey.
