As another step in the ladder between industry and academia, King’s College signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Laxmi Group P. Ltd. on March 03, 2020, with the purpose of working together on harnessing the collaborative opportunities that exist between academia and industry. The MoU was endorsed by Mr Narottam Arya, President, King’s College and Mr Krishna Bahadur Singh from Laxmi Group. This ceremony was supported by Mr Sunim Mainali and Mr Amrit Timilsina from the HR team of Laxmi Group and team members from King’s College.
Laxmi Group P Ltd. is one of the esteemed conglomerates in Nepal with diverse sectoral presence and respected brands. With a history of more than 46 years, it’s a huge name in Nepali market upholding 20 companies under one umbrella.
King’s College and Laxmi Group have collaborated on areas like placement, internship, regular interaction with students, joint training and development initiatives, case study development, research activities, mobility of faculty and professionals, and collaborative teaching. This MoU is expected to subtly formalize the existing relationship between King’s College and Laxmi Group.
We are hopeful that this collaboration will bring numerous opportunities for King’s College and Laxmi Group in terms of co-learning, exchange programs, training and joint research and more.

Programs like Demola, DoLAB workshops and module courses for BBA and MBA students are already in function at King’s College as an effort towards bridging the aforementioned gap between the educational institutions and industry.
