Mr. Ashutosh Tiwari

Ashutosh TiwariAshutosh Tiwari is the CEO at Sherpa Adventure Gear-Nepal — a Kathmandu-based apparel company that sources raw materials from international and domestic suppliers. It then designs, manufactures, quality-checks and ships made-in Nepal high-end outdoor gear to 21 countries around the world. Prior to Sherpa, Mr. Tiwari was the Country Representative at WaterAid in Nepal, which assisted NGOs and community groups to procure construction materials to build water systems and sanitation facilities in rural Nepal. Before that, he was the CEO at Himalmedia, where he led his team to procure and manage supplies to put out high-quality media products under fast-paced deadlines. In 2011, the World Economic Forum honored Mr. Tiwari as a Young Global Leader. At the workshop, Mr. Tiwari will share his perspectives as an experienced supply chain practitioner.

“Chen is a supply, logistics, and operations expert with over ten years’ management experience in the automobile, food and humanitarian sectors for commercial and non-profit organizations in India and UK. He has achieved chenstrategic outcomes for businesses including: identifying and developing commercial partnerships, establishing sources of supply and contracting new markets. He is passionate about start-ups and has successfully led on operationalizing small businesses in India. Chen has multi-industry, cross-sector experience and expertise in working cross-functionally, aligning people and resources, identifying and addressing client needs, consistently delivering results that exceed expectations. He has an undergraduate degree in Mechanical engineering and a Master’s degrees in Quality management from India and a Master’s degree in Logistics and Supply chain management from the UK.
