King’s College Pvt. Ltd. signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Janata Media Network Pvt. Ltd. on 22nd August 2016, as a Research and Knowledge Partner. As partners they would jointly organize the research activities for the specified themes on Health, Agriculture, Education, Natural Resources, Infrastructure Development, etc.
The MoU has been signed after the design of a proper Research Calendar and work flowchart, the outcome of continuous discussion between the two parties.
According to MoU, King’s College will be responsible to conduct all background research and ensure its credibility and quality along with managing and handling all research students and the issues that stem from them. And, Janata Media Network will be responsible to produce the program and handle communication with the media network. Those students who will be interested to run studio programs with the research will also get an opportunity to do so by the Janata Media Network. This will open up a new avenue for the students too. Dr. Bharat Bhatta from King’s College and Mr. Pradip Ghimire from Janata Media Network signed the MoU for its execution. This collaboration between an academic institution and a media house is supposed to make the news and public awareness fact-based and credible than before.
Janata Media Network is a network of more than 100 radio stations and newspaper publications. Besides that, the network also runs a dialogue forum with the sectoral experts.
